Hello and Welcome

I’m Father Bernard Sixtus, the priest-in-charge of the parish: thank you for visiting the Web pages of our parish church of St David Lewis and St Francis Xavier! We are not allowed at this present time to celebrate public Masses. However, this time of crisis is really the time for offering more Masses, not fewer, to ask the Lord to strengthen and sustain us through this ordeal, and to give our hearts His peace and joy!
Our Church

Our church is part of the Archdiocese of Cardiff and was built in 1847. It is dedicated to the great missionary Saint Francis Xavier and to Saint David Lewis. In 1679 David Lewis became the last priest in Wales to be executed for the Catholic faith (around 300 yards from where our church now stands). His grave is near the door of the Anglican church in Usk.

Mass Times

During the pandemic, I celebrate Mass every day at the church and we Livestream Sunday Mass and also each Tuesday and Friday Mass.

Masses are livestreamed to our parish Facebook page during 10am weekday Masses and 9:30 each Sunday. Although the livestreamed experience of Mass is not as good as attending Mass in person, the streamed Mass is being viewed by many people both near and far, sometimes as far away as Portugal!
